2023 SsangYong Torres – The New Rugged-Looking of Electric 4×4

2023 SsangYong Torres Electric 4×4 is set to hit the public real soon. This vehicle is an all-new model from the South Korean 4×4 (U100) specialist that experienced a significant popularity rise already at the moment. It looks like the manufacturer wants to continue its positive trends by releasing the Torres. So far, it aims to fill the gap between the largest Rexton and the second smallest Korando from SsangYong.
2023 Ssangyong Torres Specifications
Without a doubt, checking out the upcoming SsangYong Torres Electric 4×4 2023 exterior is a must. The reason is that the manufacturer itself is popular in the segment of 4×4 off-road vehicles so far. Of course, it will not be a disappointing matter at all. A rugged appearance is the primary styling of this vehicle. The front grille is a distinctive one that adopts the iconic Jeep-style design.
Exterior
Furthermore, the new 2023 SsangYong Torres Electric 4×4 will have a large aluminum-style skid plate at the bottom front section. The headlights are all LED that comes in slim design and style. Large faux intakes and strong bonnet lines complete the six vertical slits of its grille. Overall, the front section of its exterior is nothing but mean. It is among the appealing elements of the car itself, indeed.
At the back, the tailgate has a bump that acts as an integrated spare wheel cover. Meanwhile, the taillights are similar to the ones found on the Ford Explorer. An optional side storage box will be available to make it similar to the Land Rover Defender. In terms of the wheels, the standards include both 17-inch and 18-inch in different trims. Nevertheless, an optional 20-inches set of wheels is also available.
Engine Specifications
In terms of the performance aspect of the SsangYong Torres Electric 4×4, it comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged and direct-injected V4 petrol engine. It is the same engine that sits under the hood of the Korando from the same manufacturer. An optional 4WD variant is available for those who favor the off-road credentials of this new car. Yet, it originally comes as an FWD vehicle.
In terms of the maximum power, it is said that the new Torres from SsangYong can produce 170 PS and 280 Nm torque. In other words, it could reach 188 horsepower with its electric powertrain. Meanwhile, the battery grants the car to reach a driving distance of 322 km maximum on a one-time charge. So far, the SsangYong Torres Electric 4×4 performance is a promising one.
Interior
The most significant element of the interior cabin of the 2023 SsangYong Torres Electric 4×4 is the full-width design of the dashboard. It houses a three-segment of instrument display along with some corner air vents. It is possible to flatten the steering wheel slightly due to the slim and sleek design of the dashboard. More importantly, there are only touchscreens instead of buttons to operate everything.
A freestanding 12.3-inch infotainment display is inside the interior of the SsangYong Torres Electric 4×4. It pairs with an 8-inch touchscreen at the bottom as a new feature. It sits there to alter the vehicle functions that including the climate control system. Regarding the luggage capacity, this car offers a large 708 liters boot space originally. With the folded rear seats, the capacity increases to 1,662 liters.
Release Date and Price of 2023 SsangYong Torres
Unfortunately, the official release date of the car outside its country of origin is not clear just yet. So far, it is said that the car will hit Europe as a BEV later in 2023. It is easy to assume that it will not be available until at least the second half of 2023. Meanwhile, the new 2023 SsangYong Torres Electric 4×4 is already available for order in South Korea with its price that ranges from $20,911 to $23,630.
